Lutheran Camps website! The purpose of this site is to
provide information to those interested in attending either
(or both!) of the Lutheran Community Camps held in
Southcentral Alaska in February and August of each year.
Suggestions for how to make the site more useful/helpful

Lutheran Community Camp Location Changed:
Birchwood Camp
Come join us in a weekend of worship and fellowship with
other Lutherans from around Alaska! Pastor Glenn Petersen
from Central Lutheran will be leading our Bible study and
worship at this camp.

pillows, outdoor clothing appropriate for the season, and a
snack to share with the group

Details: Spend Friday
night through Sunday afternoon at the breathtakingly
beautiful Birchwood Camp. A short drive from Anchorage and
the Mat-Su Valley, Birchwood camp features cabins with
bunks, flush toilets and hot showers in the wilderness
surroundings that help you leave worldly cares behind and
encourage rejuvenation of the spirit and reconnection with
each other and our Creator. With plenty of opportunities
for recreation-- both indoor and outdoor-- and meals
provided, this is the perfect weekend getaway for just

Cost: Fees for Lutheran Camp include cabin
rental, all meals (Saturday: breakfast, lunch & dinner;
Sunday: breakfast & lunch) and fees for waterfront
activities such as wading, swimming and canoeing.
Rates are $65 per adult and $32.50 per child for the
weekend. Children’s rates are half price thanks to an
ELCA Synodical grant!
